Even though the human genome provides a dataset several hundred thousand times the size of typical global financial market data, the visualization software available (even in 2017) to the bio research and pharmaceutical industries is staggeringly primitive. Tacitus set out to change this by leveraging game platforms like the Unreal Engine game platform, and others like the Unity Engine. Though Tacitus folded in 2011, the path is clear for major breakthroughs in genetic research through creating "immersive digital worlds" for conquering the most complex problems facing medicine, health and genetics in the 21st century.
